CULTURE http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture -
(from the Latin cultura stemming from colere, meaning "to cultivate")
Culture can be defined as all the ways of life including arts, beliefs and institutions of a population that are passed down from generation to generation. Culture has been called "the way of life for an entire society."[3] As such, it includes codes of manners, dress, language, religion, rituals, games, norms of behavior such as law and morality, and systems of belief as well as the art.
Cultural anthropologists most commonly use the term "culture" to refer to the universal human capacity and activities to classify, codify and communicate their experiences materially and symbolically.
ETHNICITY http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnicity
An ethnic group is a group of human beings whose members identify with each other, usually on a presumed or real common heritage.[1][2] Ethnic identity is further marked by the recognition from others of a group's distinctiveness[3] and the recognition of common cultural, linguistic, religious, behavioral or biological traits,[1][4] real or presumed, as indicators of contrast to other groups.[5]

SEXUALITY
**Human sexuality is the way in which we experience and express ourselves as sexual beings; encompasses the sexual beliefs, knowledge attitudes, values and behaviors. Sexuality is not just how you have sex
SEXUAL ASSAULT: refers to a specific act of sexual violence. This may refer to rape, incest, molestation or other act of sexual intrusion.
Sexual Assault occurs anytime one person knowingly acts to have sexual contact with another person who does not consent or cannot consent to such contact.
CONSENT means cooperation in act or attitude pursuant to an exercise of free will and with knowledge of the nature of the act. A current or previous relationship shall not be sufficient to constitute consent under the provision of this part 4. Submission under the influence of fear shall not constitute consent. Nothing in this definition shall be construed to affect the admissibility of evidence or the burden of proof.
CONSENT MEANS:
• To give approval and to agree by free will.
• It is based on choice.
• It is active, not passive.
• It is only possible when there is equal power.
• Both people must be equally free to act.
• Both people must be fully conscious and have clearly communicated their permission.
LACK OF CONSENT:
• A child cannot consent to sex.
• Someone who is extremely intoxicated cannot consent to sex.
• Someone who is severely mentally impaired cannot consent to sex.
The Colorado Statues were revised in 1993 to reflect a definition of consent.
RAPE: sexual intrusion or penetration to the vagina, anus or mouth of the victim. The weapon of intrusion used by the perpetrator may be a penis, tongue, finger, or other foreign object.
FORCE: an essential element of rape. No particular amount of force is necessary in order for it to be defined as rape. Any amount of force that is used to overcome a woman’s (man, child etc.) resistance is enough to constitute a rape.
Rophynol “roofies” - DRUG FACILITATED SEXUAL ASSAULT (Date Rape Drugs)
This occurs when certain drugs are used to incapacitate a person for a period of time and cause memory loss. These drugs can be colorless and odorless and can be easily dissolved in liquid.
Cholesterol is a soft, white, waxy substance found in all parts of the body. It is a lipid (another word for fat). It is an important part of the outer lining (membrane) of cells in the body of animals. Cholesterol is also found in the blood circulation of humans. When blood cholesterol is too high, it can clog arteries.
LDL (‘bad’ cholesterol): low-density lipoprotein can clog the arteries. When your cholesterol is tested, lower LDL numbers are better. Less than 100 mg/dL is optimal; 190 mg/dL and above is very high.
HDL (‘good’ cholesterol): high-density cholesterol removes bad cholesterol from your blood and keeps it from building up in your arteries. For HDL, higher numbers are better. More than 60 mg/dL is best.
CAD Coronary artery disease is the most common type of heart disease, and the leading cause of heart attacks. The arteries that supply blood to the heart become hard and narrow, so the heart is not getting all the blood that it needs. CAD can lead to:
Angina: chest pain or discomfort that may feel like pressure or squeezing pain in the chest, the shoulders, arms, neck, jaw, or back. It may also feel like an upset stomach (gas, indigestion). Angina is not a heart attack, but can mean that you are more likely to have a heart attack.
Heart Attack: If an artery is severely or completely blocked, and the heart does not get the blood it needs for more than 20 minutes, a heart attack can result.
High Blood Pressure: this type of cardiovascular disorder affects the blood vessels (arteries, veins, and capillaries), and is perhaps the most common form of cardiovascular disease in the Western world. The blood pumps through the vessels with excessive force. It can cause other types of cardiovascular disease, such as stoke and heart failure. It is one of the most preventable and treatable types of cardiovascular disease.
Stroke: A stroke is a sudden loss of brain function. It occurs because blood flow to the brain is interrupted (ischemic stroke) or when blood vessels in the brain rupture (hemorrhagic stroke). This in turn causes the death of brain cells in the affected areas. Stroke is often thought of as a neurological disorder because of the many complications it causes.
Aneurysm: a bulge or weakness in the wall of an artery or vein, that usually enlarges over time. They can rupture and cause life-threatening internal bleeding. Aneurysms can occur in an artery in any part of your body, but the most common sites are in an artery in the abdomen and in arteries at the base of the brain.
